Okay, so you know that there is something about Baltimore that's suburban - the suburbs.

Why are we comparing it to the city everyone uses to say it's northeastern and a city in the deep south? Baltimore has some parallels with Philly, but it is not northeastern. Atlanta is far away.

To be fair, our metro is smaller. City limits are arbitrary, and Baltimore has to be considerably larger to have the same population as Boston and DC.

Baltimore is a Northern city with some Southern qualities. More similar to Philly?? NYC?? Not sure I would go that far but its not like Atlanta either. I think its a lot like Baltimore.

Lol this thread has been resurrected from 2013. And it tries to force a comparison between cities that already themselves are quite different than what they are being compared to. In the end, Baltimore is a mix and it's honestly been discussed over and over.

and even then the DMV is superior than ATL.

When the Balt-Wash region is combined (CSA), its #4 behind NYC, LA, and Chicago:

You've been served by the best my friend
But Baltimore is a separate metropolitan area with 2.8 million people.

1,2. Philly

Our architecture is not identical; Philadelphia's is older and of different styles.
