So how and why is Atlanta the dominant force in the southeast? Culture? You mean culture like Atlanta's unhealthy obsession with fast food chains, hip hop, and Nascar. Ithaca is more culturally northeastern than as is a big bustling city like NYC but NYC is the most dominant city of the northeast. Atlanta is more culturally southeastern whereas Miami is the southeast's most dominant city
Finance in Banking?lol.U are such a dweeb!!!Do you know that Atlanta has a major financial sector?

Is Philly really 50% above Atlanta?

My understanding was the latest tally had Atlanta at $270bn and Philly at $350bn, a 30% disparity.

https://www.city-data.com/forum/city-...s-product.html

Philly is definitely larger and richer than Atlanta--I'm not disputing that. Atlanta is smallest of the country's 5-million-plus cities in many metrics.

Also, isn't Miami's GDP lower than Atlanta's?

http://www.zyen.com/GFCI/GFCI%209.pdf Find Atlanta... wont be there but the typical reply back will be full of excuses, the point is your city is irrelevant to the finance industry. IT REALLY IS. Saying different shows how moronic some of the boosters from there are, on what premise? SunTrust? A 3rd tier national bank... yeah no.

Nothing in Atlanta on NYSE's level, or CME, or CBOT, or NASDAQ, or DOW, Chase, BOA, WF.. no where even close and those are just the known corps, the privates more than alone handle and stand above any corp in Atlanta.

I'll have to pass, not my scene.

I make 1 post, you quote each 1 post I make at least 3 times. Why?

BTW this is the coverage of Suntrust bank corp, the areas served

Its in the southeast, and its laughable your trying to make Atlanta fit the role of a financial center because it has one REGIONAL bank HQed there... every day is Xmas to you people you just keep givin'

kidphilly--that put's Philly's income 35% ahead of Atlanta. Part of that is due to population and part is due to it being a wealthier city.

Big 4 in banking = Wells Fargo (SF), JP Morgan Chase (NYC), Bank of America (Charlotte), and Citigroup (NYC). Big Four (banks) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Areas served by Wells Fargo

VERSUS

"Sunrust" areas served
