I'm not sure how anybody can not say San Antonio unless they haven't been there.

San Antonio is very good, but not better than California cities.

I've never seen the big deal over Cali Mex. I've been, and it's pretty good, but SA definitely wins here.

There is no winning! Theyre all good and authentic, thats why I say theyre not better in SA. Ive had outstanding Mex food in small town all over California, you dont see that here, unless you're closer to the border.

I agree. they drown the food in all sorts of juices to where you can no longer taste the meat.

I like my food on the drier side. leave the sauces to the side so that I can selectively add flavor. don't drown the thing in it.
I know I don't have to explain what I know to you and even if I did you hate San Antonio judging by your post.

Besides judging from the poll, more agree with me than yourself.

You can find great mexican food anywhere in California, which is something that definitely cannot be said about states like Illinois and New York. What I'm particularly surprised by on this thread is how underrated Norcal is compared to the other places mentioned.

Oh yeah, I say it all the time, I hate SA. But everyone who knows me, Know I give it its due for what is due to it.

SA's mexican food didn't impress that much. lived there for 4 years, been to a range of places. My opinion, you aint gonna change it.

We visit every now and then. We get the itch for greasy food every now and then we take trips to Texas regularly after drinking

As for immigrating, yeah. I have lived in a handful of US cities
We are everywhere
