Steelers fans aren't exactly known for their high levels of class. And that's great if the original Steelers fans in Pittsburgh are, but your ever-multiplying obnoxious hordes around the country are not. Your team has bred them, now accept them.

Our "obnoxious hordes" across the country have only one degree of separation from Pittsburgh. It could be that they're from Pittsburgh themselves, or that one or both of their parents are from Pittsburgh, or that they have an uncle in Pittsburgh who got them interested in football, or they know somebody who plays for the Steelers, or they went to college in Pittsburgh for a few years, or any other number of possibilities. This is what the rest of you either fail or refuse to understand: Our fan base is a quintessential diaspora, and has become one hell of a nationwide network in the process. We accept them all because they give us tremendous strength in numbers. Remember that next time they neuter your favorite team's home-field advantage.
B-More is the best city of the four, though the others have their virtues.
As far as football, I like the Ravens...but couldn't help thinking how they couldn't join Pittsburgh in wearing retro jerseys Sunday night; the Browns had already played that day

Hardly.
When I lived in Wyoming, none of the three Steelers fans I worked with had so much as set foot in Pennsylvania in their lives, let alone harbor any feelings for or hold any connection to the city of Pittsburgh. One had never been east of Chicago. Yet they never missed a game, decorated their cars and wore jerseys, hats, shirts and other nonsense with the Steelers logo.
People like teams that win, nothing more. You can claim credit for that, not anything your city does that's attracting far flung football fans to root for the team that plays its home games there.

There are millions of Steelers fans. You're talking about three of them.
BALTIMORE across the board. City, Metro and Football team.
Maybe the rest of us will get lucky--all that we need will be a large asteroid to impact somewhere out in the Atlantic, then a tsunami, then goodbye B-More. Whatta think?

Don't write a check that the city of Cincinnati and the bengals can't cash
