Are these some World Class Cities? These cities are renowned all around the world. Legendary cities especially for their size.

New Orleans...(smaller than Birmingham Alabama) pulling events like the Superbowl and Wrestlemania

Las Vegas... (smaller than Cleveland) gets visits from the British Royal Family etc

Are these LEGENDARY cities enough to be World Class

World Class
-global institutions
-global reputation
-international tourism
-cosmopolitan
-etc

Both are for very different reasons, in my opinion.

I love New Orleans - a world class tourist attraction, sure. A world class city, not remotely.

New Orleans is wordly but not world class if that makes sense. We have more in common with Marseille or San Juan than we do with Paris or Mexico City.

However, I think NOLA does have the potential to be world class once again. It will just take time and really good urban planning.

As for Las Vegas, I would say no. While many around the world visit, it really doesn't have the right pieces to ever be world class.

NOLA could be world class, 3-5 decades from now. They have alot of cleaning up to do in that city. I hope they have a strong leadership in the area. So much potential if industries are created and Money is invested. Las Vegas will never be "World Class" due to lack of a true economy other then tourism and hospitality, I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Both are very unique in their own right and no other city can compare to either one of them but world class.......uhh negative. New York, Chicago, and LA are really the only cities in the U.S. that are considered world class status. I mean Atlanta is more of a world class city than Vegas and Orleans so to answer the question no the two cities are not considered world class.

No actually I think we have 5 to 6 world class cities it NYC, Chicago, LA, San Francisco, Boston and/or DC. Houston, Dallas, Seattle, and Atlanta are the next 4 up IMO
