nc doesn't have better schools. nobody ever backs that up because they don't even prove SC teachers are not as good. Education stems from teaching and teachers.

NC has a lot more schools with 3 and lower school scores. Basically all the inner city schools have a low school score. People who say NC schools are better never talk about these schools.

Washington DC schools receive more money than any schools in the country and they have the most failing students. Money can't overcome unmotivated students or students who are poor learners.

it is not true at all that Greensboro is more lively than Greenville. You said nothing that backs that up.

i don't think Greenville is more conservative or religious than Greensboro and i believe your definition of 'far right' is a lot different from most people. The Gboro burbs are going to be as Republican as the burbs in Greenville.

Northwest Guilford High School

This high school is the only traditional public high school that I see on greatschools.org for the Greensboro area with at least a school score of 8.

Besides the fact you're clearly the self-appointed cheerleader for Greenville on this forum, logic would seemingly dictate a city with a population of 280K (Greensboro) is going to have a more active downtown overall than a city of 60K (Greenville).

most of the people visiting an active downtown area are not living in the city limits. They drive in from the burbs.

Given the fact you say you are an the real expert on Greenville, you must know about the annexation laws in Greenville. Greensboro is not significantly bigger than Greenville. I don't htink anybody who is objective and visits the two city downtowns would say Greensboro is 'more active and lively'.

have you ever been to Greenville? given you live in Florida, kind of hard to believe you are familiar with both Greenville and Greensboro.

Ok then.

But looking at county can be different from looking at just the metro. I think that you break out it by the suburbs, the suburbs in both went for Romney. Obama lost a lot of votes in 2012 from his results in 2008 in NC.

and i believe that there are a lot more african americans in Greensboro area, so obviouslyh Obama had a big advantage there.

if you think Mitt Romney is 'far right' then that probabl means you are 'far left' though.

Update: Guilford County with Gboro has 34 percent african americans, Greenville county only has 18.5 percent african americans. It goes up to 34 percent or so within the Greenville metro though. I was comparing the two metro areas specifically suburbs, not their respective counties.

The urban area population around Greenville was 400,492, as of 2010.

It is the center of the most populated county, MSA, and CSA in the state of SC. not just a small city of 60,000.

The Greenville MSA has the 63 largest population. Greensboro is at 74.

i do ok, for a 'cheerleader', as you say.

This is the only school I considered in that area because as you state, it's one of the only highly rated in greensboro, maybe the only, idk. That and the higher taxes were why we started to look in sc, where there are slot of schools rated very well, so it seemed like I had alot more options.

The northwest district in greensboro has less than 10% minority population.
