Miami is more known than D.C unless, you mean every-time the word "The White House" is spoken counts for D.C.
Also the three international new station in the world in my opinion
are
(BBC- U.K centered
CNN- U.S centered
Al Jazeera- seems the most international)- I can get these in many countries in Europe/ Asia/ Africa.
Most people have heard of Washington but besides the White House know next to nothing. On the other hand most people, have the vision of Miami as "rich people place" and in Nigeria many rappers/singers talk about Miami they do not talk about D.C.
Washington D.C is not the capital of the "free world", it is the capital of the U.S. The free world has several "capitals" and most of the world is free.

And I have friends from Ghana who would totally disagree with you. Also DC is the capital of the free world..... Are you serious? It's a PHRASE. America is known as the land of the free or it's called the free world it's a common phrase used dude, don't take it so literal it makes you look foolish. I'm guessing you've never heard the national anthem either?

Also funny how you speak for Nigerians though when DC has way more Africans including Nigerians than Miami but Miami is what they all talk about lol ok.

DC is only popular for people who watch the news, and then only CNN, and even then it's just flashes of some reporter by the white house every now and then.

It's not a very impressive international focus DC has. Just saying.

With CNN being in Atlanta and hosting the Summer Olympics in 96. And how big hip hop is globally, are those big enough factors to help Atlanta's case?

Stop short changing the human race. The vast majority of humans with access to an elementary education or TV or radio knows about DC.

Come on people we are not talking about Sioux Falls here.

DC is only popular for people who only watch the news? That makes no logical sense at all.... What parallel universe are you on? DC is stuffed down our throats whether we like it or not because it's the capital of the United States. Do you vote? Did you know Donald trump is running for president? Do you think about politics sometimes and the government? What about international affairs with other countries. That's all DC whether you like it or not.

DC is the capital of one of the most important countries in this entire world. Your argument is weak and invalid and now you're just very desperate. The capital of Uganda is not as important as DC if that's what you're asking. Capitals of major countries are usually important such as Paris, London and Tokyo.
