I mean, I’m in NC and it’s getting bad here too. That doesn’t mean we didn’t handle it well. We just didn’t see the awful numbers NY had initially so we relaxed a little bit. The whole country is going back in lockdown by September.

True...more had/have been relocating from NY to other areas of the MSA (Broward and Palm Beach counties) the past few decades following the White flight and Latinization of Miami; however, in the most recent few years urban and revitalized Miami has regained its appeal to many NY’ers, particularly Brickell and Miami Beach. I should know as I’m a former NY’er living here (though I took a detour via CA).

Yeah Miami/Fort Lauderdale/West Palm Beach still sees a heavy stream of NY/NJ people.

The two states are as different as it gets.

Lol, can you imagine someone like Ron DeSantis running New York?

There is even a new condo in Brickell called The Flatiron (modeled after Manhattan’s Flatiron building in mind) that has witnessed its share of recent relocated NY’ers...going out on a blind date with a lady tomorrow who just relocated from NYC with her financial services company to the beach.

Thats actually kind of funny lol. New Yorkers are definitely streaming to not only FL, but NC, GA and NE too. Im in NC right now and there are a ton of NY references in advertisements popping up lately.

Socially liberal, fiscally conservative (with no state income tax) works for me. Miami is probably the only area I could live within the state—it’s an anomaly.
