I assume you meant 96, SC which is in the upstate region.

I'll pick 96 since it's in the South.

Las Cruces, NM or Bend, OR?
Bend, because Oregon has more appeal than New Mexico, IMHO...proximity to Portland, Seattle, and CA..

Providence, RI vs. Portland, ME

Boise. Both are relative unknowns for me but Boise has been more intriguing maybe cause of the blue turf and the fact that it's Idaho.

Boston v Charlotte

Tough one. Edge to Charlotte for better weather and location.

Atlanta, GA or Cleveland, OH?

Atlanta. I do love Cleveland, especially as a metro. But Cleveland is losing population in the city AND metro, which leads to a depressed area. I just wouldn't be happy in such a place. Atlanta has a better QOL for what I look for in a metro area.

Shreveport, LA or Joplin, MO?

Shreveport, LA or Joplin, MO?
Shreveport by a nose hair. Nice town with plenty to do. Not as isolated as Joplin.

Vancouver, WA or Lexington, KY?

Lexington. Nice, small metro that flies under many's radar. I wouldn't like living anywhere in the PNW.

Youngstown, OH or Scranton, PA?

Youngstown, OH or Scranton, PA?
Scranton... I prefer Youngstown's regional location, but as a city it's in much rougher shape than Scranton. Scranton's proximity to the Poconos is a nice plus too.

Plattsburgh, NY or Bangor, ME?

Very close, practically a tie. Both cities have state universities within their metro areas, and are comparabkle in size. Plattsburgh has the advantage of only being about an hour from Montreal, while Bangor is about 4 hrs from Boston..

Indianapolis, IN vs. Sacramento, CA

I'm tempted to pick Sacramento for weather and sunshine. But I'll pick Indy because I'd rather raise my family there than in CA, and a lower COL.

Palo Alto, CA or Ossining, NY?
