Definitely JC. I really like Tennessee, and being in the mountains is a plus. CT is just about my least favorite state.
Covington, LA or Fairhope, AL
Covington. Fairhope is on the water and in a prettier setting close to some nicer beaches.
But, in Covington, I could easily go into and enjoy New Orleans any day or night I wanted, have Abita beer on tap and fresh right next door, and still have access to a nice long-distance bike path that runs along water. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/29.9...02!3e0!5m1!1e3
Like so. Might be longer with traffic.. but 45 minutes to Lee Circle which is effectively THE central node of New Orleans in terms of accessing French Quarter, Downtown, Garden District, Waterfront.. etc.
Boulder, given that it’s near Denver and perhaps just more consistently happening overall.. except for cost. When accounting for cost, Santa Fe isn’t cheap, but I think it’s significantly cheaper than Boulder so I’ll go with that. Santa Fe is quite a beautiful city, also.
Duluth, MN or Green Bay, WI?

Oregon for full-time living. For temporary or seasonal living to add to the "rotation" then it would be Maine. I couldn't possibly live in Maine full-time or longterm. But if it's a part-time thing then I actually specifically have Portland, ME on my radar for something like that.

Charlotte v Chicago. Choose wisely!!
Although I hate, HATE Chicago winters, I would still pick Chicago. Charlotte is nice and I could also live there... it's like a smaller Atlanta without the annoying hype and more or less expectant of what's expected.
Ann Arbor, MI or Charlottesville, VA or Burlington, VT or Ithaca, NY?

Ann Arbor, MI or Charlottesville, VA or Burlington, VT or Ithaca, NY?
Burlington, VT because my partner is a Bernie bro!

Huntsville, AL or Fayetteville, AR?
Think I've been here before: Fayetteville. The Ozarks are lovely country.
Lawrence, Kan., or Champaign, ill.?
