Laconia, NH. I prefer NH environment better. I like the historic cities along I-93 as well.

Fayetteville... I'd prefer to live within metro Atlanta rather than ~an hour outside of Nashville, even if I'm in a much larger city, such as Clarksville.

Chattanooga, much more interesting scenery and more to do, plus close to Atlanta and Nashville.
