Easton was my first choice, but after some research I have to go with Daphne. Higher income, closer to the ocean, lots of water front properties and more spread out.
Not even a competition for me Narragansatt all the way.
New Madrid, MO or Sterling, CO
Sterling... much bigger town than New Madrid so it'll have better offerings for day-to-day life, plus I'd rather be 2 hours from Denver than 2 hours away from any city that's close to New Madrid.

Toledo, OH or Hartford, CT?
Hartford, CT. I love New England and am used to our winters. I like the somewhat middle ground between New York City and Boston that Hartford is. Semi close to the Connecticut casinos for entertainment. Plus, I love Hartford's downtown area - it's cute!
A San Francisco/Boston type city (dense very urban) or a Houston/Atlanta type city (more open and sprawl)?
If the question is just between density or sprawl I pick density for sure. But specific city pairs will factor many things including COL and weather. Of the cities mentioned I personally would take SF (my 2nd favorite in the US) followed by Atlanta, then Houston, and Boston last due to COL and weather. Like them all though.

You are petty for this. I will choose Atlanta due to cost of living and location.

Asheville, NC or Sanoma, CA?
Haven't been to NC, spent lots of time in NorCal, but I like the South a lot more than the West Coast, so Asheville it is.
Also, I find Napa and Somona counties to be too pretentious, what with all the wine snobs, gourmet dining, country clubs, and spas on top with all the Canadian style leftism California is famous for. I'd actually think Asheville attracts at least as many outdoorsy types as Napa/Somon. The Great Smokies look like they'd have some awesome whitewater rafting and camping. In the Sierras camping means freezing your but off with 35 degree temps in the mornings of early August, even when the high temp is forecasted to be in the 80s. I imagine summer nights in the Great Smokies.would be cool but not as chilly.
