Overland Park in spite of the miserable climate. I grew up just down the road from Deltona. Deltona itself is an unattractive, soulless maze; though there are nice towns and areas nearby. Central Florida, especially that close to Orlando, is just not where I want to raise my kids. The KC area offers a lot for our particular interests, and I think my family would get along pretty well there.

Paris, Tennessee or Paris, Texas?

Paris, TX. It's slightly richer, and it's less isolated than Paris, TN.

Enterprise, NV or Conroe, TX?

Enterprise... it seems more prosperous and better positioned within its metro area compared to Conroe.

Chambersburg, PA or Harrisonburg, VA?

Harrisonburg because it's a college town and right down the road from one of my favorite places in the world, Shenandoah National Park.

Wooster, Ohio or Worcester, Massachusetts?

Wooster, Ohio or Worcester, Massachusetts?
Worcester, just due to size and location...

Oak Hill WV or Murphy NC?

Murphy. I love the beauty there and its location in the Southern Appalachian Chain.

Manchester, NH or Roanoke, VA?

Manchester, NH or Roanoke, VA?
Roanoke. Manchester is uniquely blah for a city its size; both Concord and Portsmouth outdo it for attractiveness (I haven't been through Nashua so can't comment on it, but it seems to me like it's even less charming than Manchester). Roanoke has its setting amidst the Shennandoah Mountains going for it for starters.

New London, Conn., or Lake Havasu City, Ariz.? (Points to anyone who can figure out why I paired these two.)

the NEW London Bridge is in Lake Havasu City.

Anyway, Lake Havasu City is a bit safer, cheaper, and richer. Could be a great retirement city.

Los Altos Hills, CA or Mountain Brook, AL?

Mountain Brook. It is a safe choice and closer to family. I like the scenery and housing options. I stayed at the Grand Bohemian hotel before covid and it was first rate. I hope the area is preserved as is.

Portland, OR or Oklahoma City, OK?
