Chicago. I do like Toronto a lot. But I really don't want to live outside of the U.S. and Chicago offer more at a lower COL.

Orlando, FL or Portland, OR?

Orlando, FL or Portland, OR?
Portland, for its magnificent natural surroundings, good public transit, and walkability.

(although Orlando isn't a bad place... the weather is mild, and there's more to do than see the Mouse;
e.g. there's a great Tiffany-glass museum in a nearby town. But there are no mountains anywhere in the state!)

Bishop, CA or Susanville, CA?

Hueytown, Alabama or Dewey Beach, Delaware?
This got skipped by a poster who parachuted in.

Dewey Beach, even though it's a big frat party, because there are several very nice shore communities next to it: Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, Fenwick Island.

Bishop, Cal., or Susanville, Cal.?

Susanville. It has more greenery.

Tulsa, OK or Albany, GA?

Tulsa... I like the opportunities/amenities that a bigger city offers.

Dover, DE or Cumberland, MD?

Both are so rural! Dover is not as large/developed as people would imagine. Its actually a very small metro area.... like 150,000 people in total.

Im not a huge fan of Dover to be frank, but I like its proximity to the coast and its not far from DC and Philadelphia.

So Dover it is.

I rather be close to the ocean than to be in the mountains where Cumberland is located.

Lehigh Valley (Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton), PA or Spokane, WA?

Lehigh Valley. I'd rather be in the eastern US. It's greener and really just a beautiful area.

Mt. Ayr, Iowa or Mt. Airy, North Carolina?

Mount Airy, NC as it is less isolated and close to beautiful scenery in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Iowa City, IA or Lawrence, KS?

Lawrence, which is IMO a little cooler than Iowa City, but YMMV.

Louisville or St. Louis? (BTW, the two cities were named for different kings of France.)

I'll go with Louisville. It's a more manageable metro area (not as overwhelmingly large), and also more desirable within the city limits.

Moscow, Idaho or Durham, New Hampshire?
