Abilene.

Lower humidity and no state income tax wins.

Vancouver, WA vs Little Rock, AR?

Abilene, TX.
I know nothing of either, but I feel more of an affinity to TX than LA.

Portland ME, or Jamestown, RI?

Very good one. I'd say Farmington due to the larger MSA (twice that of Roswell's) and better outdoor recreational access.

Albany, NY or Manchester, NH?

Manchester, NH.

I love the motto of NH: "Live Free or Die!"

Next: Hell, MI vs Paradise, NV?

Hell, MI for sure

The motto is "Go To Hell", not many cases where you can say this in a nice way. Also, could tell people I want to visit me, "Come To Hell". Plus it's on a lake!

Red Bluff, CA...or...Bakersfield, CA

Kern River Canyon is nearby and on my bucket list of places to hike before I die!

Duluth, MN or Marquette, MI?

Duluth, MN

I am biased as I have visited Duluth (October 2005), but not Marquette. A little more scenic IMO with hills overlooking Lake Superior, though Marquette has a nice setting, too. Duluth is larger with more to do. Less than 3 hours to Twin Cities. Closer to people I know in MN & WI.

Des Moines, IA or Grand Rapids, MI ?
