Flint, MI

Both are shrinking and kind of dangerous, but Flint is a bit more cultured and closer to the D.

Lancaster, PA or Rochester, MN

Rochester, MN

Is the larger of the two cities (110k vs 60k) with the famous Mayo Clinic. Rochester is growing and has added more amenities. Southeast MN is a beautiful under-rated area to explore. Mississippi River is a short drive east and Hwy 61 alongside it is a beautiful drive. Grew up in the Twin Cities area and it is much closer to the TC & western WI where I know several people. Just know one acquaintance within driving distance of Lancaster.

Forest Lake, MN or Mandeville, LA ?

South Lyon for proximity to Ann Arbor and to some of Detroit's nicer suburbs.

Kind of cheating, but Anderson. Better location, better jobs, better positioned for growth.

Mobile, AL because of location mainly. McAllen is simply too removed from everything.
