Both are close to St. Louis, but Springfield has a larger population and is close to Peoria, Bloomington and Champaign While JC has Columbia and Springfield, MO. In all honesty it closer to tie but I'll go with Springfield as I think the nearby towns are more interesting.

Slight edge. Both are way too hot in summer. More to do in LV. Better airport with flights to more cities. NFL football will be there soon (Oakland Raiders). A little closer to relatives in AZ (150 miles from LV; 200 miles from PS). No state income tax in NV.

Casa Grande, AZ or Grand Island, NE ?

I'll pick Naples because of it's proximity to the ocean with nice beaches. It also seems to be nicer just from my quick image searches and seems more like a place I'd like to live.

Cairo, IL vs Fresno, CA

Phoenix... Just a bigger fan of the SW United States than the NW.
