In a similar vein, and forgive me if this is a repeat:

St. Louis or Kansas City?
Kansas City

Have heard and read that Kansas City has made more progress in recent years than St. Louis and is under-rated. Delicious BBQ of course and Country Club Plaza. Also like that Lawrence, KS is nearby (40 miles).

Dunnigan, CA or Henderson, MN?

Dunnigan... Henderson seems to have a nicer business district but I prefer Dunnigan's climate and its proximity to Sacramento over Henderson's climate and proximity to Minneapolis.

Jamestown, NY or Elmira, NY?

Jamestown, NY or Elmira, NY?
Jamestown, NY for it's historic downtown and proximity to Erie, PA.

St. Louis, MO or Austin, TX?

Hmm, to be totally honest I think I would pick St Louis if it were just me, but for my family we'd definitely go with Austin since it's a much safer choice. Far more opportunities for my wife and I, definitely more of her style/culture, and one of her best friends lives there already. For me it's a little more even and I find St Louis more intriguing and under the radar.

Baltimore vs Cleveland

Tough one. I like Cleveland's scenery and proximity to New York, but I would choose Baltimore for it's superior suburbs, amenities, and politics.

Grand Rapids, MI or Jacksonville, FL?

Grand Rapids, MI

Less heat and humidity and for a shorter duration than Jacksonville. I could probably adapt to GR's cold winters. Good economy compared to most other Michigan cities. Easy access to Lake Michigan and some nice weekend getaway towns. Closer to people I know in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

(Fyi...Baltimore is much closer to NYC than Cleveland. Perhaps you really meant Chicago and accidentally typed New York. )

Bellemont, AZ or Chualar, CA?

I thought the same but then figured she meant upstate NY specifically.

That is certainly possible, too.

Tough one.... I like Chualar's proximity to the California coast, specifically Monterrey, and the Bay Area as well. However, Bellemont appears to be more prosperous and it's just a stones throw from Flagstaff, which I always thought would be a cool place to live. Once I get used to the elevation change, I think Bellemont would be nicer.

Lawrence, KS or Norman, OK?
