Ooh. Those are two great options. Seattle has the better scenery and milder winter weather, but Toronto is the more exciting, bustling city. I'll go with Toronto.

A couple of smaller cities: Quebec City or Savannah, GA?

I think Portland's coastal setting would be prettier and I'm assuming it's also more liberal.
