I have a longtime friend there dating back to high school. Don't know anyone in Florida. There are beautiful areas in and/or near the city (Garden of the Gods Park, Manitou Springs, Broadmoor Resort area, Pikes Peak). Moderate COL. It is reasonably close to the Denver metro for more to do. I would miss being near the ocean, but not with the intense heat/humidity and occasional hurricanes & tropical storms of south Florida.
Windsor, CO or Windsor, CT?

Windsor, CO or Windsor, CT?
Windsor, ON. I have fond memories of spending weekends there because the drinking age is 19.
In all seriourness, Windsor, CO for the proximity to Fort Collins and Denver. Hubby couldn't work his current job in CT.
Knoxville. It's a very underrated smaller metro. Great university, nice economy, low cost of living, great recreational assets, beautiful mountain setting. the people are great. Actually, the only negatives I'd have for Des Moines is the it's so land locked and it has pretty flat topography compared to Knoxville. Des Moines is very nice too. I just prefer Knoxville. Good comparison.

Greensboro, yet another underrated smaller metro, and a great location to boot.
