Darien... Primarily because I currently work in Brooklyn and living in Darien would still allow me to get to work by commuter train/subway faster than if I lived in some other parts of Brooklyn proper.

Oooh, tough one. No shortage of charm in either of these cities, but being winter-averse, I'll go with Seattle. Besides, I've already lived there, so I have my bearings.
