Hartford, CT or Bridgeport, CT?
Wouldn't want to do either, but would pick Bridgeport only due to the option of having a quick train to NYC

Darien, CT or Newport, RI?

Darien... Primarily because I currently work in Brooklyn and living in Darien would still allow me to get to work by commuter train/subway faster than if I lived in some other parts of Brooklyn proper.

Olean, NY or New Philadelphia, OH?

New Philadelphia, OH

It is reasonably close to 3 major metro areas: Cleveland, Columbus and Pittsburgh. Only 25 miles to Canton.

Aromas, CA or Penrose, CO?

Oooh, tough one. No shortage of charm in either of these cities, but being winter-averse, I'll go with Seattle. Besides, I've already lived there, so I have my bearings.

Wilmington, DE or Providence, RI?

Interesting one. I'm only slightly familiar with both having passed through each for a couple days years ago.
They both offer similar pros and cons imo, but I'll take Wilmington because it is closer to both DC and NYC. Spinning off the last duel:

Philly v Boston

Boston. Philly's Okay, but Boston is easily the best major eastern US city. It's also close to great New England outdoors.

Montpelier, VT or Boone, NC?

Oh Montpelier all day. Great tiny city. Nice culture for its size. Near Waitsfield/Waterbury/Stowe/Burlington. Hunger Mountain Co-Op!

Boise ID or Ashland OR?

Boise... Would rather be in a larger metro area and the Medford/Ashland region is too isolated for my liking.

Casper, WY or Pocatello, ID?
