I'd rather visit Miami with it's warm weather, great nightlife, beaches, & Latin American food. While it was a great city, I think Atlanta is more of my style. It has lower cost of living, I like it's weather more, a better tech scene, & I like how it's more African-American oriented rather than Latin American oriented. I think Atlanta has some attributes that are more common with some of my favorite U.S. cities such as part of NYC, Philly, & DC, whereas Miami is a complete departure from that style. Therefore I'd rather live in Atlanta.
Great Bend, KS or Lexington, NE?
Lexington, NE
Close call between two small Midwest towns. Not finding major town proper differences. Lexington, NE is close to Kearney (35k population) and not too far from Grand Island (50k+ population). Closer to South Dakota (Black Hills) and a little closer to Minnesota, where i know some people. I used to work with someone that retired in Nebraska (west of Omaha) less than a decade ago. Don't know anyone in Kansas.
Let's go with NE vs. KS again...
Lincoln, NE or Wichita, KS?

Lincoln, NE. A small city & college town, plus it's an hour from the bigger Omaha. Wichita is too isolated for my liking.

Newark, NY or Newark, OH?
Tough one for me... Newark, OH holds the edge in better weather and larger population. Newark, NY seems more in line with what I'm looking for culturally and is close to a number of places of interest (Rochester, Syracuse, Lake Ontario, Finger Lakes).
I give the edge to Newark, NY because it's less familiar and more intriguing.

Watertown, SD or Watertown, NY?
Watertown NY for similar reasons mentioned for Newark NY(proximity to Lake Ontario, 1000 Islands, Adirondacks, Syracuse, Ottawa, etc.)
Woodstock, VT. The architecture & scenery looks nicer.
How about these 2 neighborhoods that rappers grew up in:
Germantown, Philadelphia or Highbridge, Bronx?
I've already chosen: Germantown, Philadelphia.
It's my home, and it has loads of historic character and people who care about the place a great deal. Beautiful twin Colonial, Dutch Colonial and bungalow homes on tree-lined streets share space with blocks of housing built for working folk. Save for City Island, I haven't seen a neighborhood anywhere in the Bronx that has this character: they're far more uniform and made largely of apartment blocks (well, they used to be).
Cross-state jump ball time: Pittsburgh or Philadelphia?

Philadelphia. Pittsburgh is decent & has a growing food scene, job scene, very low cost of living, & has nice scenery, but overall I'd definitely choose Philadelphia. I prefer Philadelphia's urban nature, transit, culture, history, food scene, metro, & location over Pittsburgh. Philadelphia is one of my favorite top 10 U.S. Cities & compared to other cities with great transit systems, large metros, & strong culture, it's cost of living is on the lower end.
2 College Towns in the Big 10:
College Park, MD or New Brunswick, NJ?
