Boise easily. I wouldn't want to live in the NYC anyway, but if I was, it wouldn't be Newark.
Houston, TX or Phoenix, AZ?
Having just spent a weekend there, Houston. It's Texas' answer to LA, only with fewer phonies, friendlier people, more sophistication (IMO) and even more slalom drivers. And they do other things besides sell each other houses there.

Galveston, Texas, or Myrtle Beach, S.C.?
Myrtle Beach...better beach...close to great city of Charleston.

Columbus, OH or Raleigh, NC
Raleigh. Lived in Columbus for a year and liked it. Have family in Raleigh and been many times. Raleigh has a little bit stronger economy, a little more to do recreationally, has a much better climate, and is close to the Atlantic beaches. Columbus is more affordable, but Raleigh isn't out of control........yet.

Atlanta, GA or Denver, CO?
These are two of the few cities in the country I wouldn't mind moving to from where I currently live (NYC) but ultimately I would pick Denver. I prefer the vibe and culture of most places in the Mountain West to that of the South and having family and several friends nearby already is the icing on the cake.

Staten Island, NY or Virginia Beach, VA?
I was going to pick Virginia Beach for more room to breath and better weather but I'm looking at google Maps right now and there seems to be a good amount of green space on Staten Island.
I know nothing about it but Redding, CA because it's at least in a Blue state instead of a Red state like TX.
Grand Rapids, MI or Madison, WI
Grand Rapids. More affordable and underrated, IMO.
Kansas City, MO or Cincinnati, OH?
