Moab... Much larger and more accessible town. Ouray is a little too stuck in the mountains for me - seems like an amazing place to visit though - the "Switzerland of America".

*Fun fact: Moab is about a 3 hour drive to the west of Ouray, and you can STILL get to Denver faster from there than Ouray (by 13 minutes) due to its route having much faster highways.

Elko, NV or Mitchell, SD?

Know little to nothing about either. I'll go with Mitchell. I'd rather live in SD than NV.

Lexington, KY or Des Moines, IA?

Des Moines, although I like Lexington. Lexington is small town feeling. Des Moines has a lot going on in growth.

Wheeling, WV or Tupelo, MS?

Wheeling. Give me access to the Northeast, four seasons and mountains.

Pittsburgh, PA or Baltimore, MD?

Pittsburgh... both have strong urban cores but I prefer Pittsburgh's city neighborhoods overall. I would probably prefer Baltimore's suburbs though.

Aurora, IL or Aurora, CO?

Lexington, KY for milder winters and beautiful Bluegrass countryside.

Santa Fe, NM or Prescott, AZ?

Aurora IL. I prefer Chicago's metro to Denver's. Offers more and is less expensive to boot.

Ft. Lauderdale, FL or Ft. Worth, TX?

Edit: I did not see BamaDave's Post:

Santa Fe, NM because it seems like a nice place in a vibrant desert setting.

Springfield, OH versus Springfield, TN

Springfield TN. Would much rather live in the Nashville area than the Dayton, OH area.

Ft. Lauderdale, FL or Ft. Worth, TX?

Neither. Ugh... Ft. Lauderdale I suppose to experience the Miami culture.
