NYC bleeds finance jobs..
Silicon Valley bleeds tech jobs.
But nobody makes dumb suggestions those places are seriously threatened .
For whatever reason, this forum does it for Hollywood.
Right, all of this is happening. Now, who has among the people talking cogently talked about Atlanta's film industry actually claimed that Hollywood as an industry is seriously threatened?
The only thing that people are arguing is that its film/media/entertainment industry does not completely wither away from lack of or is completely contingent on having generous tax credits.

ok Imma hypocrite lol. I would actually like to know what your opinion is on this being your somewhat of a neutral observer. The only thing I'll add is that in your state NY, has a cap of $420,000,000 for the amounts it doles out. CA has a cap of 330,000,000 starting next year. It was a $180,000,000 lottery system before. LA had no cap but after last year capped spending to $180,000,000. GA has no cap and it the only state besides Kentucky and a select number of states that does not have a cap.
I personally do not that it is sustainable and so have other states. But obviously others disagree. Beyond that, do you think that #1) Film incentives have a major role in where a movie is filmed? #2) If GA tax incentive is capped, would that have an effect on where a studio decides to locate their business?
I at least have provided links and evidence.

Nobody is claiming it out right. But how some have worded things, it certainly feels implied.
I think his movies suck. It always shocks me how much he's worth based on the quality of his films.
It must be more reasons than box office.
They only make 35-50 million world wide, which is extremely low these days.
. Even domestically they just do ok.
He makes all his money on opening week, and not much after that. That suggests poor word of mouth.
His plays in particular do VERY well. And then you have the deal he has with Oprah/OWN with his shows.
His plays are why he is as popular as he is. I remember my mom getting Maedeas diary of a mad black woman on Bootleg back in the day. But...uhh....I am not a fan of every thing else. But others are so I understand why he makes so much money.
