They still do. There’s one on Knewkirk and Bedford right now as we speak

And I know there’s another one alongside Guy R Brewer and Foch Blvd in south Jamaica Queens!

I think raw count is still equally important since no count equals no rate. Size differences of cities affect the perspective of rates. Low rate is good but still are 200-300+ killings is still too much. High rate is horrible but 5 homicides isn't that horrific count wise. Majority of our country's rate comes from the same large cities ( 100k+) for decades.
