True but it's not the most joyful topic. So the thread derail is a nice respite, no?

As I said, I don't care about who wins the Diversity Olympics, but I do care about facts. If you insist on saying 2+2=5, then I will continue responding. I am a very patient person.

Furthermore French Canadians can be found in every Province of Canada. They don't all live in Quebec.
I meant to say that Canada, at a bare minimum, has as much racial diversity as those nations (South Africa is 20% non-black African including Coloureds and I don't think that's changing soon), but when you tally the numbers, then it equates to 73% white non-hispanic and 27% minority. It doesn't appear to count multiracial people. Either way that's not far off from where the US was back in the very early 2000s. In other words, not as racially diverse but at the same time it is catching up.

Just thinking about this more, and the percentage share of the various races and ethnicities of the world is probably a better metric than sheer numbers.

A small country but which has the exact proportions of humanity within it, would arguably be more diverse than most any country in the world today, including biggies like the U.S. or Brazil.

Then run the numbers..I expect you will find people of more ethnic backgrounds and higher numbers obviously in the USA..run percentages if you’d like

Baltimore has hit 40 homicides for a rate of 6.64 per 100K. Just to put that into perspective, Los Angeles last year had a per 100K rate for the entire year of around 6.3..

Montreal (2.0M people) still has 0 homicides; the Greater Montreal Area (4.3M people) is at 2. A rate of 0.04 per 100K.

But apparently the city is not diverse enough (despite being only 10% or so white English-speaking) so it doesn't count.

Could you possibly come up with a more juvenile retort?

In terms of personal safety, there aren't many places I'd trade for this one.
