Average cost of a home in Highland Park is $1.6 Million: https://www.zillow.com/highland-park-tx/home-values/

Average cost of a home in Buckhead is $537k: https://www.zillow.com/north-buckhea...a/home-values/

That lands right at approximately 3x more expensive in terms of housing. Also Highland Park is among the top ten most expensive cities to live in within the country.

I can attest that Highland Park is indeed more expensive than Buckhead.

Buckhead is 10 times more populated than Highland park. The population of Highland park is 8564 and the population of Buckhead is 78676

If you compare the most expensive 1/10th of Buckhead with Highland Park the home prices will be very close.

Yeah but you also gotta account for one factor, how many people can really afford to live in Highland Park? I'd say thats a big reason its not as populated as Buckhead (aside from not having a much in terms of high density as seen in Downtown Buckhead)

I would think Druid Hills is a better comparison to Highland Park. Buckhead reminds me more of Uptown Dallas.

Possibly yeah because its lower density, no towers, ect. Buckhead however is composed of SFH's outside of Downtown Buckhead, even Druid Hills however is significantly cheaper than Highland Park though.

North Buckhead is one neighborhood in the larger Buckhead district. Highland Park is like Tuxedo Parkn, which is is one of the premier neighborhoods in Buckhead. It would be best to compare Preston Hollow+Highland Park and Buckhead. Even though PH and HP are neighborhoods themselves and Buckhead is a district, they are much more similar in stature. Buckhead is made up of 30+ neighborhood, and North Buckhead is one of the most affordable. I don’t know if you picked that particular neighborhood on purpose, but it was really odd that you did.

I live in the western suburbs of Chicago. I just looked at Alpharetta on Movoto.com, and you get ALOT for your money there. Having lived in OC, Boston and now where I am, this is not expensive, sorry.

I would say this is correct too. Druid Hills would be a better comparison even. Uptown and Buckhead are very comparable from a commercial and retail standpoint but I’m not so sure from a residential standpoint. I’ve only been to Dallas two times so I don’t know it very well. I remember Uptown having bars and restaurants but no residential neighborhoods.
