It is but prices are going up as more people keep moving here. My home value doubled in the 6 years I lived here. According to Zillow, it increased another $45,000 since last year. As prices keep going up annually, Atlanta will no longer be inexpensive.

People comparing HP to Buckhead... Preston Hollow is more of Dallas' version of Buckhead. The Park Cities are also wealthy areas that seem to be more streetcar suburb enclaves in design on a grid with sidewalks, organized parks, etc. Druid hills looks more like them in that regard. To person that said Uptown Dallas is like Buckhead... Uptown is more like Midtown Atlanta, than any other area there.

Highland Park is essentially the Beverly Hills of Dallas. Not a fair comparison. That would be like saying River Oaks represented Houston

Yeah but in relationship to comparable metro's its still by far the most affordable for what it offers.

Yeah there’s a weird thing that’s happened over the last few years where cities that had a reputation for being super affordable are no longer as cheap or affordable as they once were yet the salaries and pay are still pretty low.

Yes, but home prices in Seattle, LA, SF are rising at least as fast, if not faster.
