Didn't think Baltimore had room to increase but it's at 130, up about 10% from last year. Baltimore never recovered since the Freddy Gray incident in 2015, hope we don't see all these BLM/Defund cities continue like this.
Both Baltimore and St Louis exploded around 2013 after Freddy Gray and the Ferguson riots. Both were trending down until they saw about 100 more murders the following year pre-pandemic.

Memphis is the worst city since the pandemic and is trending to be the new Baltimore. They first had over 200 murders for the 1st time 2 years ago to then explode to over 300 and trending that way again this year. Memphis was averaging 140-160 the prior decade and has a higher rate than Detroit for the first time since I can remember. What yall doin down there?

Much of the homicide increase is black-on-black, and these three cities have very few black people. There are white people crimes in all three - stealing for drugs for sure, but let's be real about what's going on elsewhere with large homicide increases.

Atlanta is alot like DMV where homicides happen outside the city. What is the metro Atlanta numbers for places like dekalb, fulton, gwinnett and cobb counties. Last year Dekalb had 129 I dont know how many of those were in the city of Atlanta.
