Just because I'm tired of the big 2. I loved living in NY, but hated living in Cali. Actually much of Colorado is either boring or overpopulated, but I'm picking it anyway. Hawaii is special. I've only been there once but still remember almost every detail. Maybe one more visit before I go to the great beyond. Have no particular desire to go back to NY.
California vs Colorado - CA is great to visit, but awful to live in. Between the high taxes, high COL, terrible traffic, and the obscene number of fake and self-absorbed residents, it's a hard pass.
Hawaii vs New York

Looking back at the tournament from 2 years ago, I'm proud to see my Hawaii make more forward progress in the game.
California won last time if I recall correctly, though Texas and Florida were also in the mix for the final three. What a difference two years make!
It’s definitely very interesting! Honestly, I feel one of the biggest flaws of the tournament 2 years ago was that I seeded the whole thing by population, and it kind of made it unfair because some of the more loved states got placed all in the same bracket. I like this way a lot better, because I played it by ear round vs round and seeded each state by the vote difference.
Two years ago, California won, Texas second, New York third, and Florida fourth, but I can assure you that the spread of vote difference of the results didn’t show that those were actually the Top 4 states because many states had a tougher time against other states in earlier rounds.

I mean maybe. Reseeding each round this way basically meant the the favorites could coast each round facing (relatively) weak states. Part of the magic of March Madness is the upsets and each round is wholly independent from the round before. Maybe tweaking the fixed bracket next time to make it more balanced, with #1 seeds and #2 seeds and so forth, I don't know.
That said, I enjoyed this.
