That is over the top...

Since 2011, Montreal averaged ~2.4 homicides a month (2023 was a lower year). There is an uptick this year, but it appears to be an average fluctuation versus a serious ongoing/increasing problem.

Yeah with that small a number, you’re bound to get some random fluctuations that aren’t indicative of a long term trend. Let’s see where they are at the end of the year.
