That may be nice, but I think we all know that the biggest rivalry is between the East Compton Clovers and the Rancho Carne Torros. The Torros stole the Clovers cheerleading routine and the girls were like "bring it on!" so they brought it and that's how the rivalry began. Duh.
NYC vs. Chicago: both tied because both great cities!
Chicago vs. Houston: Chicago wins by major land side!
haha well I tried to be a little unbiased, but you pretty much read my mind. NYC definitely trumps LA. New York is the place I would like to be, and Chicago is the affordable alternative. Chicago beats Houston due to the fact that I like cold weather, but I always have a place in my heart for Houston.

If we are talking high school football that goes to Pueblo Central and Pueblo Centennial. The "bell" game is played to a sold out Dutch Clark Stadium in Pueblo, over 16,000 fans, and is the oldest rivalry west of the Mississippi!
Here is a description:
Centennial is part of what is believed to be the sixth oldest high school football rivalry -- and the oldest west of the Mississippi River -- with their annual game against cross-town rival Central High School. The schools first played in 1892, and the teams have met every year since except for the period between 1913-1919 when Centennial temporarily dropped football. The game is known in Pueblo as "the Bell Game" as the winning school takes possession of an old train bell which was donated as a trophy in 1950.
NYC seems to have a big stick up their rear & a raging hard on for North Jersey, even though they would never admit it. I don't know if I would call it a rivalry, but NYC seems to pay a lot of attention to the humble folks across the Hudson. It makes you wonder...................................
