1.July-Early October-Hot,to Warm
2.Late Oct-April-Cold/Wet/(Mild to Cold)
3.October-Early march- Santa Ana's
4.May/June-Fog,Marine layer(June Gloom)
Well in the far outer suburbs you have to shuffle snow mostly but across the city they have trucks that drop salts on the streets and you can buy a bag of salt. Also how can you have outdoor activities in the middle of winter. Its not like you didnt know it snows during winter, plus you got channels and channels of News. thats fine if you dont like the cold but is that why they have coats and heaters and radiators. Mind over Matter.

So it's a matter of opinion.
End of discussion.. why does it have to be "jealousy" and "out of luck"
Why doesn't the whole country move to LA if it's so great and 100% of people SHOULD like it's weather.. it's just not happenin

I see why people love the LA weather
And
I see why people love 4 seasons (including myself)

I mean it all has flaws, LA doesn't have as clean of air because of the lack of 4 seasons and rain, and 4 seasons can get annoying because it gets too cold or too humid and hot.

It's not a contest.

NOTICE that some people prefer Sunny and warm weather year-round, while other prefer cold and snow, while others prefer four seasons. We can't make people like NYC's or LA's weather, it's just an opinion.

I love Los Angeles weather because it's sunny and mild to warm, but I also love NYC's weather because it has four seasons and every season has it charm.

Preferences aside, I think the original question is sort of lame since the "average" person favors warmth over cold. If it is hot going outside can be uncomfortable. The same can be said of cold weather. Both can be life threatening. Los Angeles doesn't get cold [about 30F warmer than New York City during winter] but also doesn't get that hot [both cities average in the mid-80's in summer]. If you don't have to buy warm clothes [other than a wind breaker] & never worry about outdoor activities, it is just one more thing to enjoy. Sun is favored over clouds

I picked LA because quite honestly, northern winters scare me,lol...we left CA for 4 seasons, but wanted kinda mild-ish winters, not alot of snow, a little, not alot!

Well, this is a tough one. I can't really say whether one is better than the other. But I'll do my best to give a good enough perspective. New York City has the obvious 4 seasons. Winters in NYC can be cold and rough to handle depending upon whom you ask. Some people would say it is not that bad while others would hate it. Summers in NYC are hot and muggy and with their dirty air(yes, NYC has dirty air too because a former co-worker of mine who is from New York even said so). Bottom line is NYC with the crowds and dirty air makes LA look better. LA has no real winter season and its spring and fall are decent.

LA already has better summers(it gets the slight edge). It is a tough call but if I had to say which city has the better climate, I'd probably have to say that LA is the winner in spite of the fact that it gets little rainfall. But as I said, this is a tough one.
