Uh,huh....My mistake, I was thinking about takeing the Tacony Palmyra Brige into Jersey but still what you're getting from these maps are correct but STILL WRONG. You probably know that google maps, mapquest, & even most gps systems are only gonna give you two routes at best a freeway/expessway/highway or surface streets & still I don't know why or how they pick some routes because I'll be on my way somewhere familiar but may have never been to the address, I'll get there & realize that I could've taken a much better route....

Anyway, I don't know where google is starting from, (I'm not gonna look) but I'll bet it's probably starting from South/South West Philly,(Phila. Intl. Airport) or Downtown, (Center City/Ben Franklin Bridge) or maybe West Philly. (30th Station/Route 76 Expwy)
Now the thing is, it's many more areas in the city that aren't exactly in the innercity & North East Philly is one of them,, a big one at that. That's where my mom resides. She's only about 13 miles from the Calhoun St. Bridge in Morrisville Borough
it's no Golden Gate by any means it's only 1100 feet long & takes my 64 year old mom just 10 minutes to cross it to see her grandchildren intown & get her exercise at the same time.(LOL)

^^ that list of cities...holy crap...
Well actually I counted 24% but just rounded to 25... anyway that isn't the point a county or percent off, point is it is obviously extremely affluent, educated, white collar. Nothing against Philly but it is slides more towards blue collar. So does a large amount of Chicago really. I know a lot of people say Chicago is like a big midwestern Philly. It isn't good/bad either way, but certainly different lifestyles and city amenities, yada yada. That is just how it is. I certainly do not bring home the dough like those salaries posted.

Well, what does it really matter. I like SF, Chi, & Philly.
What's wrong with the working class blue or white collar families? Is there anything wrong with those who earn 40k -65k yearly, especially in today's job market?
The sporting events, religous facilities, concert halls, parks, block parties, resturants, jersey shore, etc; I have really good freinds & relatives who fit into that income bracket and they enjoy not only life in Philadelphia but they own homes have picked nice areas to raise their children, they send their children to parochial schools, or charter schools, some even home shool.

They take vactions, (Outside of the states) they,,,,blah blah,blah,....
Seriously I've never looked at anyone & wondered how come they don't earn six figures? I enjoy hanging out at the places & with the people described..

Cheers..

Nothing at all, just like there is nothing wrong with impoverished countries, many have very long cultural heritage and vibrant communities.
I think all we were doing is saying they are very different lifestyles and cater to different crowds, leading to very different functioning cities and regions.

I hate to sound like a snob but really I am helping you out lol, its just so corny sounding
I don't understand the "beef"...with Frisco or whatever....these terms like...Philly are commonly used....and are simply avoiding comparing the metropolitan areas. Like people from N.Y. ....complaining you did not type New York... WHO CARES.
