Isn't Millenium Park just part of larger Grant Park? Is Grant Park more famous than Lincoln Park?

People probably have seen images of the metallic sphere thingy that everyone takes photos of even if they don't know that's specifically Millenium Park.

Central Park. It just feels better laid out and more exciting. Golden Gate park is fine, but would of been even better if that highway wasn't blocking the water on it's western end.

Millennium Park is pretty new, especially when compared to GGP and Central Park, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's not that well known.

The weather, especially summer weather, in GGP sucks btw. I'd take hot and humid over cold, foggy and windy for summer weather any day of the week. I actually think it's probably nicer in winter than summer in GGP, at least on the days it's not raining.

The highway is two lanes each way, with a speed limit of 30mph, its not much of a barrier...

Late summer/autumn is the best time to enjoy GGP.

Grant/Millenium also has a highway of sorts along the lake

On the topic like both do feel Central is the superior of the two

more urban (centralized) and more complete overall

Both are huge assets to their cities none-the-less

It's a visual barrier. Think how much nicer it would be if it wasn't there. The beach would feel connected and considered part of the park.

That would be nice, but GGP would be a huge road block, unless they had just turned the road inland a bit, but to go around GGP wouldnt work

If it were feasible that May be ok, but I don't think it's totally necessary. I'd love to see that section of road developed into a plaza look with enhancements to the boardwalk and sea wall
