I would say Las Vegas, but only in two small parts of the city, (the ones tourists see), The Strip, and Downtown. The rest of the city is the Salt Lake City of Nevada.
Seattle is only fast paced due to the caffiene. Seriously. Once that wears off it becomes very mellow!
I have always found Chicago to be an impressive big city, until you compare it to NYC. No comparison...Chicago's vibe is totally different from NYC, and by comparison seems quite sedate to NYC.
LA is fast-paced on the freeways, but it kinds of ends there. LA is very mellow off the exit ramps. See "LA Story" with Steve Martin
Los Angeles is surprisingly quick but certainly not on NYC levels. I was shocked how much slower Denver is compared to L.A.
Boston, Miami, and Chicago are also fast paced. I wouldn't consider Philly to be nearly as fast and Atlanta is definitely SLOW. Washington DC is also low energy as well.
