I'm currently in Houston right now, and I think Chicago has more culture. If you look at Osito's previous posts, this poster definitely has a grudge against Chicago. He has been ripping at Chicago at every chance he gets.
Actually, looking at your previous posts, it looks like you are a Chicago homer, and have a grudge against Houston!
However, San Antonio is considered a tourist city and attracts people from all over for its history.
From all over where? Other parts of Texas? Neighboring states like Oklahoma, Louisiana and Mississippi? I hate to break it to you, but people on either coasts and I'd say much of middle America could give a rat's a-- about Texas history. For most Americans, our history is dominated by the 13 original colonies and it's safe to say that even most history buffs would pass on ever visiting The Alamo (unless you happen to be in SA for a convention).
Let's face it, the subject of Texas history is merely a blip in any high school American History textbook. Just ask anyone who wasn't born and raised in Texas.

Pot, met Kettle!
Well.....not exactly. In my first 8 posts, I defend Houston on all occasions and don't even mention a word about Chicago. Considering I have only been to Chicago twice, I would hardly call myself a Chicago homer.
Take out Chicago, and put in Houston and Atlanta, and I think this is a good list.
That's got to be one of the most ridiculous posts I've read on this site. Are you serious about this comment? Not to belittle Houston and Atlanta-- fine cities each--but why on earth would you say they have more culture than Chicago? Really, why? Explain your rationale.
You call others homers (though they're not even from Chicago) because they make an honest assessment-- yet you're hellbent on disparaging Chicago with flip, inflammatory comments. Have you ever posted a nice comment about Chicago? Why do you hate it with such vehemence? Do you expect people to take you seriously? Ease the throttle on the Chicago hate.
San Antonio and Austin are light years ahead of Houston and Dallas when it comes to culture.
You must've toked some really good stuff while you were partaking in Austin's culture.
There's more to culture than an indie rock scene and an old church turned into a cheesy tourist trap (i.e. the Alamo).
I remember going to the Alamo when I was about 10 years old, seeing this sign talking about how this was a hallowed place, gentlemen remove their hats etc. and I go inside and there's showcases full of Texas-shaped beltbuckles, replica Bowie knives and such, all overpriced of course. I went to see the Alamo and felt like I was in the gift shop at the freaking airport. Didn't feel right to me even being young like that. Couldn't they move that **** to another building nearby?
That's not culture, that's shameless commercialism.
