Well I have been to L.A. but not Miami. By looking at pictures of them lately I would have to say it I think Miami has an overall more impressive and beautiful skyline.
Miami is nice, but LA has mountains, so I give it to that city. LA is very smoggy though, but Miami also gets its bad air quality sometimes.
This has too be one of the funniest things I've ever heard! When has Miami ever had bad air? The city is as flat as a pancake and the sea breezes from the Ocean blows any pollution away and has never had a smog alert.
About the only time the air gets bad is from wildfires in the Everglades during the winter months and the smoke is blown into the city.
As for the skylines , LA has a nice one but is small for a city it's size. It looks comparable to the size of Houston or Dallas's skyline.
Miami has more buildings over 500 feet as well and the city is only 35 square miles.
Miami's buildings are bland, grey gloomy, and unrecognizable!! BLAXTOR121 you must be referring to New York's buildings! With those dark brick colored residential highrises!
PS: I'm from the NYC area so I know what I'm talking about!

I prefer Houston and Dallas skylines over Miami's, but LA skyline wins in my opinion
Miami's skyline is hideous. It looks like one from a third world country.
