NOLA is much better and more authentic, so you are right. L.A. sucks for food, and aside from the pathetic skyline (for its size, but also that the buildings are butt-ugly) and the total lack of fashion sense on display everyday, it's the most glaring problem with that obese, smoggy suburb that also happens to be the homeless-person capital of the USA, where 'Skid Row' isn't just a joke, it's an actual neighborhood!

New Orleans? Their regional cuisine is nice. Can't say I'd like it to be the staple of my restaurant options, but it's good every now and then. But for scope and variety and high quality ingredients, it simply doesn't compare to LA.

Jesus christ, I almost choked on the bile from that post even though it wasn't actually coming from me...

Did LA pee in your mailbox or something??

Nope. No Pee. L.A. can take it, being the big city that it is. Some L.A. boosters need a reality check.. It was fun to type, hyperbolic perhaps but not patently untrue.

p.s. - I have edited this post a whole bunch of times without changing anything of significance

I remember when I was a kid and had to live in places I didn't enjoy living (rural WA, rural OR, the Boston area, etc). Maybe when he's finally old enough, he'll be able to get outside of his little bubble and see the rest of the US and world. We'll see.
If not, he's NYs problem.

That's too bad, Chandler. I've heard Vaseline will cure that. See? I can make posts without substance too.

The food in NOLA is repulsive. They are known for their greased up foods like fried chicken, biscuits, sweet tea, crawfish, catfish, extra butter, etc. The food scene out of there is truly disgusting. I would rather go with LA for dining. LA has a Michelin Guide, NOLA doesn't which says enough right there.
