I am really surprised by the results of this poll. Shows how little people know about Orlando. It should be in the single digits either way. Tampa and Orlando are very comparable cities. And hey, Orlando is in the new Forbes Top 10 "coolest" cities list...whatever that is worth.

Only because of Nightlife. If Ybor City and Channelside were in Downtown Tampa, it would be Orlando = Tampa.

And if CityWalk & I-Drive were in Downtown Orlando, the status quo would remain .

Taking things from your amusement parks? Come on now. What I'm saying is the only reason I would say Orlando has the better downtown is because its bars and clubs. Tampa's bars and clubs are mostly in Channelside and Ybor directly outside of its downtown. So the foot traffic and activity that you would see in downtown Orlando at night you would see in those places instead.

I know what you're saying and you should remember how much I like Tampa just in case you forgot . Now, the only point I was making is that you said, "If I take 2 places that aren't in downtown Tampa and add them to downtown then it will be better than downtown Orlando." I was trying to One-up you but hey no worries.

^ Ybor is still my favorite but they've done a nice job with Channelside. I may be the only one, but I'd ride the Teco Streetcars to Ybor if I lived in Channelside, sure beats a DUI.

I-drive isn't in a theme park and technically neither is citywalk. CityWalk is a cluster of entertainment retail dinning and nightlife thats is free of charge to get into and enjoy. I know many people here who don't ever go in the Universal theme parks but often go to city walk to have a fun night out. Who cares who made it, its part of Orlando now, thats why its called CityWalk Orlando. Not trying to come off rude, I get what you meant but I'm just saying. . Tampa has great nightlife but when you combine the nightlife in each metro, in my opinion Orlando wins

People who live near the streetcar get discounts when they ride it, so I'm sure you are not the only one.
