Lake Eola is better for nature while Curis Hixon is more of an urban park. Both are very nice. I like the swan boats at LE. When you said Lake Eola is better then anything Tampa had, that would be true a couple of years ago, but I wondered if many people were even aware of some of the new additions to Tampa's downtown, Curtis Hixon park being one of them.
Thats why I want to visit that park you posted. I do enjoy Lake Eola i must say. But I want to go and experience the new additions.
It's not really part of downtown, right outside of it, but I really like the Hyde Park area of Tampa. Kennedy BLVD and Bayshore BLVD are nice and I have been to Westshore Plaza before, very nice mall.

I must say, after looking at some of these Google Maps pictures of streets in Hyde Park, I forgot how awesome this neighborhood is. It is probably one of my favorite neighborhoods in the whole state of Florida.

very nice neighborhood. Kind of reminds me of some Downtown Orlando neighborhoods. Orlando and Tampa have more in common than Orlando and any other city, or Tampa and any other city. Sometimes I feel like I'm still in Orlando when I'm in Tampa. Here are some downtown orlando neighborhoods that remind me of that neighborhood.
i REALLY NEVER KNEW THAT PART OF TAMPA EXISTED. I ALWAYS LIKED CLEARWATER AND BELLAIR BEACH
One of the reasons I like that area is because it doesn't really look like the stereotypical Florida. Some of those houses and neighborhoods remind me of houses and neighborhoods in New Jersey. It's pretty cool, Florida definitely has a lot of diverse architecture.
