Also remember, it might not always be like it is in these pictures, sometimes its more busy, sometimes its less busy. Also, Miami Beach probably has more people walking around than downtown Miami so MB pretty much takes DT MIA's shine lol.

Brickell is the more fashionable part of downtown, south of the miami river. and has seen a major transformation. Brickell is where alot of nightlife is too.

Thats the old MAM the new one is going up in Bicentennial Park being designed by Herzog and DeMeuron and will incorporate significant landscaping as well.

This is still the South, people don't walk around that much especially when their dressed in their work clothing. Sorta hot to walk around with a suit on.

I liked the last one the best. The first three, didn't impress me much. Something about Downtown Miami, all the buildings are white or very light and have a dirty look to them. the streets and side walks are narrow, and there aren't many plants, or trees. But The last link was good.

Orlando has narrow streets and sidewalks too downtown. personally the Lymmo system should be dumped.

Oh and don't forget Tobacco Road, quite possibly the best live music in Florida

Its actually parking in the back and a huge building inside with an outdoor seated area in the back as well. Don't let the exterior fool you...

It has more of an open feel, more variety in building styles, and much more green (plants trees etc)
