Something large appears to be being built on Dickinson Ave just west of the Allen Rd/Greenville Blvd Ext. There are several pieces of heavy construction equipment working about 1,000 feet off the road. If I remember correctly, a developer wanted to build a shopping center there and had to overcome the objections of a church and the Red Oak neighborhood.

Belk residence hall will be bulldozed and rebuilt this upcoming summer. The new building will include a swimming pool. Price tag is valued at $40 million dollars.
