Aint no "Saint" in Andrews anymore.. maybe a Bishop or Deacon at best.. but definitely no Saint.. In high school that area was the place the be.. Dutch Square, Hooters, Applebees ....I wanted to get an apartment out there when I graduated..We were easily amused back then.....LOL. THose older apartments off of I-20 and definitely off of St Andrews Road where this happen have all kinds of challenges

Yeah theres still are a few stable enclaves like Elm Abode and some areas off of Colonial Life. Generally inside of I-20 is OK but once you cross over it.. its a mixed bag all the way out to Harbison

Where was the Hooters? I remember when Dutch Square wasn't as scary an area. Back in the Nineties saw the re-release of Star Wars at the Theater there when it was at the end of the parking lot in Dutch Square.

It was where the current KFC is located Broad River and Longcreek Dr.. I also remember the theater in the parking lot. I saw quite a few movies there...I saw Star Wars twice.. once there and the other at Richland Mall which also had a detached theater there as well at the time.

Seems promising. That area has long been neglected so this seems like a good thing for the area.

P&C article over the weekend said they’re still in the due diligence phase. Perhaps this is part of that to get a better cost estimate on things.
