Sam
This will be a nice addition to the Village at Sandhills, although I cannot imagine what the implications are for the traffic in that area. All of a sudden there seems to be more development at VAS.

A Sam's seems like the final compromise in the original vision of what VaS was supposed to have been, even more so than the Express Oil Change.

Pretty jazzed about BJ's, though. It's not a Costco, but it beats giving more money to the Waltons.

I agree with you, there. I won't step foot in a Wal-Mart or Sam's.

I do not know what the original vision was for VAS. However, I am sure that there probably have been multiple compromises. I have never been to a SAM's Club, nor do I envision myself going to that one once it is built. Nevertheless, I am sure that it will create a lot more foot traffic, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

I enjoy Sams even if it is a spawn of walmart but it seems different than walmart. As far as products are concerned it has some really unique items but employee demeanor sucks as usual but costco is not on publix level of friendliness either. Hopefully it's a "nice" sams club. The one in forest acres feels a little dirty and such but one in say, blufton/hilton head where all stores have to have a certain look and feel to it might make it look nice.

Never been to BJs.

In other news, they are building panda express at Killian's crossing officially. The other unofficial construction should be chickfila but no sign yet.

The city and metro's retail market has shown strong growth that is expected to continue.

A sign is up at Killian Crossing officially marking the location of a brand-new (wait for it) Applebee's (wasn't worth the wait, I know).

Yes, there's already an Applebee's not even six miles away, on Two Notch.

Applebees, the most made fun of chain in America.
And for good reason. Is there a less liked restaurant out there?
