Car washes are a small investment and a big profit. The proliferation of them is happening in other cities, too.

That's a good point, but I think what frustrates people is that year after year, Columbus remains one of the few cities (possibly the only city?) with a population of 200k+ that offers comparatively few of the upscale amenities (restaurants, retail chains, employers) as compared to other mid-sized cities in this population strata.

So yeah, you're absolutely right that lots of cities are being saturated with businesses like car washes, but the "catch" with Columbus is that those are literally the only new business openings the city is attracting (for the most part).

Recently went to Publix on MC and saw that Navy Federal location is ONLY an ATM?

Very disappointed.

There will be drive thru teller lanes also from what I could see.

Looks like the "Tommy G's" restaurant will be replaced with Mix Market (same as downtown)
