Northstar is a great little place with great fresh, local food. Even their produce comes from local farmers (when in season.)

Then stop eating. Please. We'd both be happy.

I love the fruit you can grow in Ohio. Apples, Cherries, Pears, Mulberries, blackberries, raspberries, Strawberries, Blueberries, Wolfberries, Kiwis, and more. That sure beats out a few varieties of Citrus, which is available at any grocery store anyway. Speaking of which, the produce at Ohio grocery stores is of much higher quality than anything I've found down here in Florida, and even the citrus is of equal quality.

Ohio is also the nation's top producer of cheese. You can also grow great corn, peppers, tomatos, potatos, brocolli, cauliflower, cucumbers, pumpkins, squash, and more.

Don't forget the grapes! Of course this doesn't pertain to Columbus as much, but there are vineyards and and wineries all along the Lake Erie shore.

I can't believe I forgot grapes. You can grow good grapes pretty much anywhere in glaciated Ohio and even in some unglaciated areas.

I'm not a big wine drinker, but i like Riesling from one of the Lake Erie wineries, i think it may be Ferrante's. Oh wait, the last one i had was Twisted River, but it's from Germany. Yum!

Heck my step-mother's mother used to grow grapes in her back yard and she lives on the East side of Columbus (on the corner of Livingston and Noe Bixby).

Default Why I love Columbus...

1. The Ohio State University: great school, great athletics!
2. Easton Town Center is a beautiful mall that is partially outdoors.
3. What we lack in football, we make up for in soccer. The Crew is fun to watch.
4. The Short North is amazing and as many have mentioned, there are other great neighborhoods nearby.
5. The low cost of living is nice.
6. There is a great mix of chain stores and restaurants as well as local shops.
7. It may be sprawled out, but the suburbs are pretty great too!

I like the fact that it is affordable compared to Philly where I came from. Also even though Columbus is not without it's problems crimewise, it is much safer than the very violent Philadelphia. There is quite a few neighborhoods and inner ring burbs that are decent and very pretty.
