I left Stamford for Mt. Vernon/Fleetwood area in southern Westchester about 2pm going on the Merritt/Hutch. Past exit 28 little sticking (but heavy snow), in fact none past 287, but now down here it's even sticking to the street.

In Meriden we have periods with wind. It will be very windy blowing the snow around, or not windy and snow still coming down pretty good.

Like right now.

So this turned out to be a snowstorm 9 days after a hurricane.

NWS raises the amounts again.

Snow is now sticking to cement and asphalt surfaces in Stamford. I have not seen a single salt and snow removal truck.

This autumn has mimicked last year's autumn. A very odd earthquake, an even odder hurricane and now a freak out-of-season snow storm.

What else does nature has in store for us? On the other hand, never mind. I have been talking way too soon, too many times this year. lol

HMM.....that must mean we'll only get 4 more inches or so of snow the rest of this winter just like last year too.... (we can hope!) And it is supposed to be in the 60s to near 70 this weekend into next week.

Less than an inch on the coast becomes 5 inches or such just a couple of miles inland? I think they're underestimating the coast, here in Westchester I'm just 2 or 3 miles from the Sound and it's like a freakin blizzard out, cars are starting to spin out on occasion, etc.....

I'm sure if it winds down early enough they'll all gun for delayed openings as those don't have to be made up.
