It was beautiful earlier with blue skies and some clouds. Now clouded up. You can feel the sun warming things up.

I went past 50° today (51°), looks like BDR too.

Nice Satellite shot showing the scattered popcorn clouds but some rain showers as well which is cloudy around NYC metro.

Latest Euro has upper 50s (maybe 60s in local spots) Monday.

BUT.... I can't stress enough that these will be come and go. It's pretty much the only and highest temp for its entire run.

We are getting to normals now and should stay for a little while. I'm thinking go and stay above normal after May 15th ... We could even go back to below normal for that matter. Have to see how this next pattern is playing out which should get established by mid April.

Which means more normal now with some below normal temps..

I dont believe these reds until we're in that pattern, until then, you have to be cautious calling for 60s.

I hope we get locked into an unsettled pattern and have a rainy spring like we had in May and June of 2009 = great instrument flying weather (Which I am craving since we have had none lately..........unless you like picking up ice which I DON'T)

It seems, be it global warming or whatever else that we've come to accept "above normal" as the norm.

But maybe this is showing us that a normal is really an "average" more than a normal, just a big mix of above and below and I guess the "payback" came.

So maybe it wouldn't be so unusual if we have more in the way of below normal months.

Not including todays data.. Since 1950...

BDL now in Top 20 coolest March's in 19th spot.
BDR in 23rd spot.

Crawling up in the rankings and could come to a hault if we're reaching normal temps now.

Default Temp Charts by IEM(Iowa Enviromental Mesonet)

Cool site I just came across that creates temp charts and has a bunch of other data. Good stuff. Its nice to see someone/schools/organizations do things like this... I think I read they employ over 300 people. They are on facebook too.

Danbury and Windsor Locks Hi-Low plotted vs average. I see only 7 times above the normal high but lows look seasonable.

Direct link to CT Stations from Upton.
